About me:
I’m originally from the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California, born and raised, and a proud Golden Bear (UC Berkeley). I’m an ambivert by nature—equally energized by thoughtful collaboration and focused, independent problem-solving. Early in my career, I aspired to become an attorney, but after some honest reflection, I chose a path that allowed me to stay close to the law while leaning into my strengths.
I’ve been supporting legal teams since 2007, spending my first 15 years in intellectual property before transitioning into legal operations. That background shaped how I approach my work today, with a strong appreciation for process, precision, and aligning legal teams with broader business goals. Legal ops has become my sweet spot, offering constant opportunities for innovation, cross-functional collaboration, and meaningful impact.
Outside of work, I enjoy a good cup of coffee and getting lost in a great book, love staying active, and am a proud boy mom. Those personal anchors keep me grounded and bring balance to how I show up—both professionally and personally.
Why I love being a CLOC member:
What I value most about CLOC is how supportive and inclusive the community is. People are encouraged to show up as their true selves, ask questions, and openly share knowledge and resources. It creates a space where learning feels collaborative rather than competitive—and that’s incredibly powerful.
My advice for other legal ops professionals:
Never be afraid to reach out and ask questions. I’m guilty of trying to figure everything out on my own, but I’ve learned there’s no shame in asking for help. Conversations with others can make learning easier, offer new perspectives, and help get you started on the right path. And don’t be afraid of trial and error—sometimes the best lessons come from experimenting, making mistakes, and figuring out what works along the way.
A fun fact about me:
As a teen, I entered a pageant to overcome my shyness and fear of speaking in front of crowds. Did it work? No —but it was an excellent crash course in confidence, poise, and learning to go with the flow.
CLOC Member Spotlights provide an opportunity to showcase members within our community who are making a difference in their organizations, in their CLOC groups, within the CLOC community and/or the industry as a whole. Do you know of a really cool thing a CLOC member is doing? We invite you to nominate a member of the CLOC Community for a future feature in the CLOC Member Spotlights Series.
