CLOC Names Oyango Snell Executive Director, Boosting Ecosystem-Wide Expertise and Leadership
San Jose, CA, November 25, 2024 – CLOC (Corporate Legal Operations Consortium) proudly announces the appointment of Oyango Snell as its new Executive Director, effective today. Snell, an experienced executive and attorney with a background in association leadership and advocacy, steps into this role to guide CLOC’s continued growth and impact.
Snell has built an impressive career in leadership roles focused on organizational strategy and operational effectiveness. He has served as General Counsel and Executive Director for California-based associations, and most recently as Director of Academic Success at the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. Snell’s deep understanding of the legal industry, along with his ability to build high-performing, diverse teams and drive innovation and collaboration, makes him well-suited to lead CLOC into its next chapter.
Over the past decade, CLOC has experienced impressive growth, expanding its reach to welcome members from every corner of the ecosystem and many international markets. As the leading peer-driven not-for-profit community for legal operations, CLOC unites legal ops professionals, service providers, and stakeholders to drive innovation and standardization in the industry.

Lisa Konie has served as Interim Executive Director for the past two years, leading operations and staff with exceptional dedication. Prior to this role, Lisa played a significant part in shaping CLOC’s vision and strategy as a board member and leader in its early growth. “As someone who has been with CLOC since its inception, you can imagine that I had high hopes and expectations for this search,” shared Lisa. “Frankly, our efforts paid off. Oyango is the leader CLOC needs at this point in our trajectory. I am truly excited to see him guide our organization forward.”
Snell’s appointment follows an extensive and inclusive search led by the Board of Directors. “This process truly reflected the Board’s commitment to identifying someone with a deep understanding of the legal industry and a passion for driving innovation,” said CLOC President Jenn McCarron. “I’m overflowing with excitement to welcome Oyango as our new Executive Director and can’t wait to see the incredible impact he’ll have on CLOC.”
Snell will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to shape strategy and with staff to ensure its effective implementation. He will focus on building partnerships and working collaboratively to expand CLOC’s reach and influence worldwide.
