CLOC Europe Holds Successful London and Madrid Events; Announces CLOC Europe Summit for February 2026
London & Madrid – October 2, 2025 — Legal operations leaders from across Europe gathered this week in London and Madrid to collaborate, share best practices, and advance the profession. CLOC (Corporate Legal Operations Consortium) today announced these successful gatherings as a prelude to the CLOC Europe Summit, which will take place on February 5, 2026. The Summit will serve as a cornerstone in the European calendar, bringing together legal operations professionals, legal department leaders, law-firm professionals, and solution providers to tackle shared challenges and opportunities in the business and practice of law.
On October 1, 2025, in partnership with RSGI, CLOC hosted a legal ops session and social gathering at the Mermaid Theatre in London, where in-house and law firm professionals in collaboration with solution and tech providers explored pressing topics as the pace of AI accelerates. Using a fast-paced, highly interactive format, they shared use cases, ways to upskill people and collaborate with law firms on AI adoption and value-based spend management. The half-day program combined expert-led rapid takes with open dialogue, followed by a networking reception that energized the UK CLOC community.
“The legal profession is at a moment of profound change, and events like this are vital in bringing the community together to share ideas and shape the future,” said Reena SenGupta, Executive Director of RSGI. “RSGI’s partnership with CLOC created a space for real connections and practical takeaways that will help legal operations leaders address challenges such as AI, talent, and spend management with confidence.”
Earlier today, October 2, 2025, CLOC partnered with IE University in Madrid to host the CLOC España Summit – The Future of the Legal Profession: Legal Ops. Available both in person and virtually to attendees across Spain and Latin America, the program highlighted the expanding influence of legal operations in the region with keynote remarks, Oxford-style debates, and dynamic roundtables on strategy, vendor management, talent retention, and the realities of legal AI.
CLOC Executive Director Oyango Snell opened the Summit by challenging legal ops professionals to lead change with courage: “When the legal ops ecosystem works as one, it gives us shared ways of working: clear outcomes, simple processes, clean data, and the right roles for the right work. That is how legal teams become creators of business value, not just a cost line.”
“These events mark an important step forward for CLOC in Europe. From London to Madrid, we are seeing incredible momentum, with legal operations leaders eager to collaborate with the law firm, solution, and tech provider members in our CLOC community. We need diverse perspectives to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the AI era. As a CLOC community, we need to lean on each other and learn from each other,” said Áine Lyons, President of CLOC. “The upcoming CLOC Europe Summit will build on this energy, creating a platform for pan-European dialogue and innovation. We are thrilled to accelerate our expansion in the region and bring the power of the CLOC community to more professionals worldwide.”
The CLOC Europe Summit, previously held in October, will now take place each February, beginning in 2026. The full-day program will give participants the chance to workshop complex business problems, build relationships across borders, and share strategies that elevate operational excellence, foster innovation, and deliver strategic business value.
