CLOC Announces 2023 Board Members and Officers
San Jose, CA — January 05, 2023: The Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (“CLOC”), the leading organization dedicated to transforming the business and practice of law, is pleased to welcome three new members to its Board of Directors: Adam Becker, Laura Dieudonné and Frances Pomposo. Pomposo will serve as the organization’s Treasurer, and current Board Member Farrah Pepper has been named Vice President.
“Each appointee has a tremendous record of business achievement, and we look forward to their significant contributions to our Board and CLOC’s mission,” said Mike Haven, CLOC President and Head of Legal Operations at Intel. “The Vice President and Treasurer roles are critical to the continued success of CLOC, and we look forward to the expertise these outstanding professionals will offer to the organization, our members and the industry.”
As part of this transition, Chris Coats stepped down from the Board on December 31, 2022. In addition, Lisa Konie has stepped down from the Board and is now leading the CLOC Staff as Interim Executive Director.
“I’m thrilled to see our CLOC leadership at full strength as we begin the year,” said Konie. “We are deeply grateful to Chris for the incredible contributions she made as a founding member of the Board and, since 2016, as our Chief Financial Officer. Certainly, our new members have some big shoes to fill, but they’re more than up to the task. With Mike as President, Farrah as Vice President and Frances as Treasurer, we have an exceptional leadership team who are eager to continue growing and developing our organization.”
About the new Board members:
Adam Becker: Director, Legal Operations, Cockroach Labs
Adam Becker is the Director of Legal Operations at Cockroach Labs, the startup behind CockroachDB, a distributed SQL database. Prior, he was VP & Director of Legal Operations at Endeavor. Adam’s first in-house legal operations role was at MetLife as AVP, Legal Operations for the U.S. legal department, where he also was responsible for the management of legal support services. Adam spent a decade working in law firms focusing on operations & management, professional development and recruiting, and began his legal career as an Intellectual Property associate at Skadden. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School and got his B.A. in Cultural Anthropology at New York University. Adam has been an active CLOC member since 2016, serving on CLOC’s inaugural Education Advisory Council and as CLOC New York Regional Group Lead.
Laura Dieudonné: Legal Operations and Administration Director, Delta Air Lines
Laura Dieudonné is the Legal Operations and Administration Director at Delta Air Lines, Inc. (“Delta”). Since joining Delta’s Law Department in 2015, Laura has focused on enhancing the department’s productivity through technology, including by helping to implement the first document management system, introducing a redlining tool and KPI reporting system for Delta’s attorneys and legal professional staff, and supporting automation efforts for responding to third-party subpoenas. Among her many responsibilities, Laura manages the legal operations and administrative teams, oversees the monthly KPI reporting process and provides critical support in budgeting, accruals and financial reporting for the department. She currently serves as a Chairperson on Delta’s Law Department’s Operations and Technology Committee. Prior to joining Delta, Laura held leadership positions with law firms Ogletree Deakins, FisherPhillips, Orrick and Pillsbury Winthrop. Laura holds an A.A.S. degree in Human Resources Management from DeKalb Technical College and is currently a Senior at Liberty University where she is pursuing a B.S. in Law & Policy: Prelaw. Since joining CLOC in 2016, Laura has served in various leadership roles, including CLOC Atlanta Regional Group Lead, Scholarship Committee and CLOC’s inaugural Education Advisory Council.
Frances Pomposo: VP of LGA Strategy & Operations and Chief of Staff to the General Counsel, Splunk
Frances Pomposo is the VP of LGA Strategy & Operations and Chief of Staff to the General Counsel at Splunk. Prior to Splunk, Frances was Senior Director of Legal Operations and Chief of Staff to the General Counsel at Workday, Head of Legal Operations and Chief of Staff to the General Counsel at Lyft and managed Legal Operations at Adobe. Frances specializes in breaking down silos, bringing scale and efficiency to legal departments, and acting as a trusted advisor and partner to the General Counsel. She received her MBA from San Jose State in 2016 and graduated from Santa Clara University in 2011. Frances has been a CLOC member since its “book club” days and has served as CLOC Bay Area Regional Group Lead and Lead of the Emerging Legal Departments Group in her tenure.
