CLOC Announces Transition in Board Leadership as President Jenn McCarron Steps Down to Pursue New Venture
New Board and Leadership Slate to Usher in Next Chapter of Growth, Beginning January 2026
San Jose, CA – Sept. 17, 2025 — CLOC (Corporate Legal Operations Consortium), the leading global organization dedicated to transforming the business and practice of law, today announced that Jenn McCarron, President of the Board of Directors, will step down from her role in order to focus her full attention on the launch of her next venture as co-founder and CEO of a newly formed technology company.
McCarron, who joined the CLOC Board nearly six years ago and has served as President since January 2024, has been instrumental in driving the organization’s growth, global reach, and industry impact. McCarron led efforts in partnership with CLOC’s Board and management team to hire CLOC’s Executive Director, expand leadership opportunities by increasing the number of directors and modifying the criteria to serve on the CLOC Board. She also undertook a series of initiatives to enhance CLOC’s governance and sustainability. Under her leadership, CLOC has expanded membership across roles and geographies, introduced innovative programming at its flagship CLOC Global Institute, and internationally strengthened its role as the trusted voice of the legal operations profession.
“Serving CLOC has been the greatest honor of my career,” said McCarron. “This community has elevated the practice of legal operations, redefined how legal teams partner with the business, and on a personal note, shaped me as an innovator. I am deeply proud of what we have built together and look forward to seeing CLOC continue to thrive under its next chapter.”
During her tenure, McCarron championed initiatives to advance diversity and inclusion in legal operations, expand resources for legal professionals navigating digital transformation, and amplified the voice of legal operations at the intersection of business and law at every opportunity. In 2020, she launched the CLOC Talk podcast, which recently celebrated its 100th episode.
CLOC Executive Director Oyango A. Snell praised McCarron’s impact: “Jenn is a visionary leader whose energy, passion, and commitment have left an indelible mark on CLOC and the broader legal ecosystem. Her leadership has elevated the profession worldwide. We are grateful for her impact and excited for the innovation she will bring to the industry.”
The CLOC Board of Directors has appointed Áine Lyons, Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Workday, to serve as President for the remainder of McCarron’s term, expiring December 31, 2025. Lyons is a celebrated industry innovator, longtime CLOC contributor since its formation in 2015 and a champion of CLOC’s global expansion having founded and built CLOC Europe’s vibrant community.
Lyons will continue to shape and modernize governance policies and work with the CLOC Board and management team to enhance its value to its members around the globe. The first initiative will be to work with the Board to elect and onboard a slate of new members who were nominated by CLOC’s membership and participated in a comprehensive application and interview process.
