Defining the next era of maturity for legal operations
Frances Pomposo has been part of CLOC since its earliest “book club” days and currently serves on the Board of Directors. Over more than a decade of involvement, she has played a defining role in shaping the organization’s growth, serving as CLOC Bay Area Regional Group Lead and Lead of the Emerging Legal Departments Group before joining the Board in 2023. Frances continues to advance CLOC’s mission by promoting scale, structure, and innovation across global legal operations teams while ensuring the profession retains its community-driven spirit.
As Senior Director and Head of Legal Operations at Intuitive, Frances leads strategy, transformation, and operational excellence for the company’s global legal organization. She is focused on elevating maturity in legal operations through AI strategy, automation, and cross-functional collaboration, helping teams move from operational support to strategic business partnership.
Her experience spans some of the world’s most innovative companies, including Splunk, where she served as Vice President of LGA Strategy & Operations and Chief of Staff to the General Counsel, Workday, Lyft, and Adobe. Across these roles, she has specialized in breaking down silos, leading enterprise-scale digital transformations, and serving as a trusted advisor to General Counsels navigating complex change.
Frances is recognized as a senior technology and operations leader with deep expertise in AI strategy and implementation, M&A integration, organizational leadership, and compliance and risk management. A frequent speaker and thought leader, she brings a clear, future-focused perspective on the evolution of legal operations—advocating for specialization, collaboration, and standardization as the next phase of the profession’s growth.
She holds an MBA from San José State University and a B.A. from Santa Clara University.
