Adam Becker has been an active CLOC member since 2016, serving as co-leader of the New York Regional Group and a member of the inaugural Education Advisory Council (EAC). He joined the CLOC Board in 2023 and now leads the EAC, where he helps shape CLOC’s learning strategy and drive professional growth across the legal operations ecosystem. A frequent speaker and advocate for innovation, Adam is recognized for his thought leadership in developing the next generation of legal operations professionals.

As Director of Legal Operations at Cockroach Labs, Adam supports the company behind CockroachDB, a distributed SQL database, by driving strategic initiatives that optimize how the legal department delivers value. Prior to Cockroach Labs, Adam served as VP and Director of Legal Operations at Endeavor and as AVP, Legal Operations at MetLife, where he oversaw the U.S. legal department’s operations and legal support services.

Before moving in-house, Adam spent a decade working in law firms focused on operations and management, professional development, and recruiting, after beginning his legal career as an Intellectual Property associate at Skadden. He earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from New York University.

Adam is known as a connector and collaborator—someone who brings energy, clarity, and structure to complex environments. His leadership reflects deep experience across global law firms, public companies, and startups, paired with a passion for transforming how legal work gets done through education, technology, and innovation.
