CLOC Announces 2026 Global Institute Registration Open, Debuts its Chicago Theme: “Stronger by Design”
Registration for the 2026 Europe Summit, returning to London on Feb. 5, opens Dec. 3
San Jose, CA – Dec. 1, 2025 – CLOC, (Corporate Legal Operations Consortium) today announced that registration is officially open for the CLOC Global Institute (CGI) 2026, taking place May 11-14, 2026 at McCormick Place in Chicago. The move to Chicago reflects a long-standing request from the legal operations community for a rotation beyond Las Vegas. The move to Chicago reflects a long-standing request from the legal operations community for a rotation beyond Las Vegas. Chicago offers easier access for many East Coast and Midwest attendees and for international participants, especially those traveling from Canada. CGI will return to Las Vegas in 2027 as part of a broader city-rotation approach.
The organization’s flagship event, recognized as the largest gathering of legal operations professionals worldwide, carries the theme: “Stronger by Design” – inspired by the soaring architecture and skyline of Chicago and underscores the intentional systems, structure, and collaboration that define modern legal operations. It signals a program built to give attendees stronger tools, clearer frameworks, and more intentional cross-industry learning. Super early bird rates for both legal operations professionals and legal solutions providers are in effect Dec. 1, 2025 to Jan.16, 2026.
“CGI continues to be the central convening point for legal operations professionals worldwide, and our move to Chicago represents the next chapter of growth for our community,” said Oyango Snell, Executive Director. “Stronger by Design reflects our intention to bring every corner of the legal ecosystem together to shape the future of our profession: with purpose, collaboration, and innovation at the core.”
Building on the success of prior years and reflecting CLOC’s momentum across global markets, CGI 2026 will explore the many ways the legal ecosystem is intentionally evolving, with legal departments, law firms, technology providers, and service partners collectively designing stronger, more connected operational strategies.
Next year’s program is already shaping up to deliver exceptional value:
- Strong 2026 Content Submissions Reflect Global Engagement: CLOC received 202 session proposals, reflecting broad global engagement across roles and geographies. The Education Advisory Committee is now reviewing submissions to develop a rich and diverse curriculum.
Expanded Senior-Level + Sector-Specific Programming: CLOC is partnering with Vanguard to shape an elevated executive-level experience for senior leaders and GCs. CGI 2026 will also introduce new sector-focused programming, including an association/non-profit forum and dedicated health and finance lunches, reflecting two of the largest professional segments represented in prior CGI attendance and piloting new industry pathways for future events. CLOC is also adding new content formats including an AI Stage and AI-focused sessions, expanded executive programming, and C-suite conversations (C-Suite Unplugged).
Strong Sponsor Commitments: Returning sponsors began contracting for 2026 inventory on Nov. 12, with strong early commitments from major partners including Agiloft, Thomson Reuters, Docusign, and Luminance. These investments show broad enthusiasm for CGI’s move to Chicago. New offerings, including expanded startup programming and elevated executive content, provide partners more meaningful ways to engage. Sponsorship sales open to the broader community today.
New Venue & Expanded Footprint: McCormick Place offers significantly increased space, enabling dedicated areas for education, sponsors, media, board programming, and community activation. Attendees will also benefit from multiple, conveniently located hotel block options directly connected to the venue. The larger exhibit hall footprint allows for a more interactive and engaging marketplace. For the first time, in-house legal professionals can register for an Exhibit Hall pass, expanding access for the Chicago legal community and strengthening engagement across the region.
Strengthened Media Experience: CLOC will reintroduce dedicated media resources, including a media-only interview room, improved on-site support, and a press event to make coverage easier and more impactful.
Registration for the CLOC Europe Summit, returning to London on February 5, will open on Dec. 3. The summit, which will be held at Convene 155 Bishopsgate, is an interactive, one-day event built for active participation and real-world problem-solving. Developed in partnership with RSGI, the program centers on practical outcomes and modern operating models.
“The CLOC Europe Summit has become a key touchpoint for legal operations professionals, innovative lawyers, legal service providers and technologists across the region. It provides a focused environment for this community to work through shared challenges, test ideas, and learn from one another,” said Áine Lyons, President of the CLOC Board of Directors.
CLOC encourages individuals and organizations to register for both CGI 2026 and the CLOC Europe Summit. CGI continues to attract a global audience, including many attendees from Europe, while CLOC’s regional summits offer high-value options for professionals who cannot travel long distances and benefit from regionally focused programming.
